How to Live Like an Essene

Past few weeks i have been reading more and more from notes left by my grandfather and Essene Netzarim teachings nthat i was brought up on as a child. I thought i would post this to see what others thoughts are on this path .

There is a belief that Yeshua (Jesus) may have lived with the Essenes and learned from them. Many Biblical scholars now agree that it is likely most of his followers came from the Essene community. Essenes lived in cities such as Jerusalem as well communal villages such as that at Qumran. They were/are strictly observant of Torah (including dietary laws), and follow the teachings of Yeshua within their original Hebraic understanding. Many are vegetarian, and all are ecologically conscious. As with most ancient Jews the original Essene's worked with the earth. Many people were introduced to the term "Essene" from the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls and the writings of Edmond Bordeaux Szekely and books from the International Biogenic Society. It must be noted that with the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Szekely materials have been rejected by serious Biblical scholars and historians. The Orthodox Essene's of today do not utilize or recognize them. Modern Essene's are also known as Essene Netzarim.

The Steps

Accept Yeshua as Messiah and Savior.
Be immersed in mikveh, witnessed by an Orthodox Essene shaliach (apostle) of Yeshua.
Adhere to Torah.
Eat only kosher organic foods. It has the full power of the healthful enzymes to nourish and keep your body and mind healthy.
You may wish to convert to a vegetarian diet, though it is not a requirement.
Adhere to the core beliefs of the Orthodox Essene Netsarim Emunah (faith). Namely:
We believe that Ein Sof (the Eternal One)is the Creator and ruler of all created things. He is the life sustaining Source of all, and is in all. He is Immanent and Transcendent.
We believe that the Creator is echad (one), yet emenates three manifestations; Abba Yahweh, the Father, Yeshua HaMoshiach, The Son, and Imma Ruach HaKodesh, the Holy Spirit.
That though Elohim is beyond gender, Elohim has manifested certain characteristics that are masculine and feminine. Thus, Yahweh represents the Divine Masculine aspect of Ein Sof, and Ruach HaKodesh expresses the Divine Feminine, the Mother.
We believe in Messiah Yeshua, the only begotten Son, beloved of His Father in heaven, whom Yahweh sent into this world to be our Master and Redeemer, as He promised by his holy prophets, and who descended from heaven for our salvation.
He was conceived of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), born of the virgin Miriam, the seed of David and anointed of Yahweh with the Ruach and power.
He was tempted in all ways as we are but without sin. He glorified his Father in heaven in all of His words, thoughts and deeds. He bore the reproach of sinners and was put to death on the tree for our transgressions.
He was wounded for our transgressions, and bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him and by His stripes we are healed.
We believe that Messiah Yeshua is the Alef and the Tav, the beginning and the end.
We believe that we pray only to the Father,in Yeshua’s name. Yeshua is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to Abba except through Him.
We believe that the prophets prophesied of Messiah Yeshua through Yahweh’s foreordained wisdom and knowledge.
We believe that the Torah given through Moshe is eternal and binding for the Netzari community. The Torah contains the transcendental precepts by which we are to live our spiritual lives.
We believe that the whole Torah which we now possess is the same as that given to Moshe. We reject any notion of an oral torah.
We believe that Sacred Scripture as written by the original writers in the original language is the Word Of Yahweh. We accept and affirm the Tanak, the Brit Chadasha, the Apocrypha, and the Book of Enoch as Sacred Scripture.
We believe that Elohim knows the hearts and minds of all human beings. No one is lost to His love, mercy or tender gaze.
We believe that Yahweh will reward those made righteous through the atonement purchased for us by Messiah Yeshua on the tree. Those who reject His mercy and love will reap the results of their hard-heartedness.
We believe that Yeshua will return to set up His Eternal earthly kingdom and rule the world on David’s throne from the New Jerusalem.
We believe that the dead will be raised and the righteous shall be changed.
We believe that Daven (prayer) and meditation are our primary methods of communication with Yahweh and seek to lead lives filled with their attentiveness.
We believe in observing the Principle of Kashrut in our diet. Further, we strongly encourage the organic Edenic Diet (vegetarianism) as most befitting our future life in the Eternal Kingdom. We do not judge those who choose not to maintain the Edenic Diet, but expect that they will keep Kashrut.
We believe that to enter the waters of Mikveh is an outer sign of an inner transformation. We hold it as a necessary component of spiritual realization in Yeshua.
We believe that non-violence is a mandatory precept for talmidim (disciples) of Yeshua Messiah.
We believe that stewardship of the earth is a sacred obligation. To this end we encourage organic farming, sustainable living, and eco-theological understanding.

    > There is a belief that Yeshua (Jesus) may have lived ...

Is a belief based on faith that ignores documented history and archeology facts.

Even if there was a person, a Christ name Yeshua, how is it that one can "Accept Yeshua as Messiah and Savior"?
Is not this the same thing as accepting Jesus as a Savior ? Where is this idea coming from ? The new testament ?

When you do the teachings of Jesus and you can see the Light within. That makes Jesus very real.

YES; without the light and vibration within, That would make them the same.

Do you mean that without the awareness that the "Christ light/vibration" is really within/without us all it would be Jesus (meaning Jesus is outside and independent from us) ?

Also, do you mean Yeshua would be something else than me, but withing me (and you) ?
something like i a not my leg, but my leg is part of me ?

        i mean if a = b, then b = a, no ?

No misunderstood; You are the sons of God. He has to be within. But only after you have cleaned out His Temple can God return with his picture. Life is not in a book it's within us.

I get a *bad feeling* about this Jake Ashcraft person...
I did research into him, and his works, and my intuition was confirmed for me, but thats just me. I encourage everyone to thoroughly research their authors, and also look within...

      Shekinah,
Your "bad impression" is based on the fact that he respectfully disagreed with you in a forum regarding homosexuality. At least be honest with your "impressions" and stop lying to people about them. Lashon hara (slanderous use of speech) is a sin for true Essenes. And I know you've had arguements with others even at this forum because of your militant homosexuality. Your constant barrage of anger about that topic, and continued petty attacks on people who have disagreed with you, tell me two things. First it tells me you have no true shalom in your heart. Second, it tells me that you are uncomfortable with yourself and seek validation from others. When you don't get that validation you become a viscious servant of the Adversary. I strongly encourage you to make teshuva with Yeshua and our Heavenly Parents, Abba and Imma and cease your lashon hara!

Yes, being a homophobe is part of it. But even more than that, in your other tribe, you post all about these Jake Ashcraft books all the while keeping the secret that YOU are Jake Ashcraft, and promoting yourself while pretending to be an objective person interested. I read lots of interesting information, actually, but in the spirit of not spreading lashon hara, I wasnt going to post any of them.
As for me fighting homophobia, it is not *petty attacks* its fighting hatred and ignorance!
I bet I wouldnt be accused of that if I was fighting against racism...or would I.
